You can record a video meeting and come back to it later. Recordings are stored privately against your account.
Who can record
Only the host — the person who created the meeting. Everyone else sees the meeting without a recording control, and an attempt to record someone else's meeting is refused.
Start and stop
- Start the meeting.
- Click Record. Recording begins immediately.
- Click Stop when you are finished, or end the meeting — ending it also closes an open recording.
To record every meeting automatically, turn on Auto-Record Meetings in Video Meetings → Settings, or tick Record Automatically when scheduling a single meeting.
Where recordings appear
Under the Recordings tab on the Video Meetings page. Each entry shows the meeting it came from, when it started and finished, and how long it ran.
Why a recording says "Processing"
A recording appears in the list as soon as you stop it, but the video file itself arrives afterwards. The meeting is captured on the media server, converted, and then uploaded to your account's storage. Until that finishes the recording shows Processing and cannot be downloaded — asking for it says the recording has no stored media yet.
This normally resolves on its own within a few minutes of the meeting ending.
If a recording sits on Processing for much longer than that, it will not resolve by itself. It means the upload step is not running, which is something only ReliaRing can fix. Contact support with the meeting name and the date — the recording is not lost, it just has not been collected.
Playing back and sharing
Open a completed recording from the Recordings tab to play or download it. The link you get is deliberately short-lived and expires soon after it is issued, so it cannot be forwarded and reused later. To give someone a recording, download it and share the file, or ask them to open it from the portal themselves.
Before you record
There is no automatic announcement to participants that recording has started, and ReliaRing does not collect consent on your behalf. Telling people you are recording is your responsibility — and in many situations it is required.
What is not included
- No automatic deletion or retention schedule. Recordings stay until removed.
- No transcription, summary or search inside a recording.
- No editing or trimming.
