A cover page makes your fax look professional and helps it reach the right person. ReliaFax includes a set of ready-made cover page templates — you pick a style, fill in a few fields, and we place it as the first page of your fax. There is nothing to design or install.
Why use a cover page
- Clear routing — the recipient's name and company are front and center.
- A professional look — a consistent, branded first page.
- Legal and privacy notices — many templates include a confidentiality statement, which matters for legal, medical, and financial documents.
- Context — a subject line and short message tell the reader what the fax is about.
Add a cover page when sending
- Go to Fax → Inbox and click Send Fax.
- Fill in the recipient, your fax number, and attach your document as usual.
- Expand the Cover Page section.
- Pick a template. Use the category tabs — All Templates, Professional, Urgent, Casual, or Minimal — to narrow the choices.
- Fill in the Cover Page Details:
- Recipient Name and Recipient Company
- Sender Name and Sender Company
- Cover Page Message (an optional note)
- Click Send Fax. The cover page is added as the first page automatically.
To send without one, choose No Cover Page in the same section.

Each template fills in details like the date, sender, subject, and page count for you, and the confidentiality, legal, and HIPAA templates include the appropriate privacy notice.
Tips
- The Sender Company field is pre-filled with your organization name — adjust it if you are faxing on behalf of a different group.
- For sensitive documents, the Confidential / Legal and Healthcare / HIPAA templates add a standard notice so you do not have to write one each time.
- A cover page counts as a page on your fax, just like any other page.
