International Calling Rates and Bundles

Updated July 22, 20261 views0 found helpful

How international calling is charged, what draws from your wallet versus included minutes, and how to check the rate for any destination.

International calling is charged by destination — different countries and number types have different per-minute rates. This guide explains how it works and how to check a rate before you dial.

How international calls are billed

  • Domestic calls (within the US and Canada) generally use your plan's included minutes.
  • International calls are usually pay-as-you-go and are drawn from your prepaid wallet, unless your plan includes minutes for that destination.
  • Each destination has its own per-minute rate and billing increment. Calls are rounded up to the nearest increment, so a very short call is billed for at least the minimum.

Because rates vary by destination and can change, we don't list them here. Instead, look them up any time using the tool below.

Check the rate for any destination

  1. Go to Billing → Rate Lookup.
  2. Choose your currency.
  3. Select the destination country, and optionally enter the number.
  4. See the per-minute rate, whether it's included in your plan, and the billing increment.
  5. Use Estimate Cost to see roughly what a call of a given length would cost.

Keeping international calling available

International calling draws from your prepaid wallet, so keep a balance topped up:

Watch your usage

If your plan includes international minutes, track them on Billing → Usage so you know when you're approaching your included amount and moving into pay-as-you-go rates. See Tracking Usage and Setting Up Alerts.
