ReliaAnnounce bills on credits. Your plan includes a pool of them each month, shared across calls, texts and emails, and you choose how to spend it.
What a message costs

A text message is one segment up to 160 characters. Longer messages split into segments of 153 characters each, and every segment costs 4 credits — so a 300-character text costs 8 credits per recipient, not 4. Keeping messages short is the cheapest thing you can do.
Voice is metered on the actual connected time, so a short message costs less than a long one. A 45-second call costs 4 credits.
Working out a send
Texting 500 people a short message: 500 × 4 = 2,000 credits. Emailing the same 500 people: 500 credits. Calling them with a 30-second message: 500 × 2 = 1,000 credits.
Your plan
Plans differ in the contact allowance they are sized for and how many credits are included each month. Every feature is in every plan. Current allowances and prices are on the plan cards in Announcements → Overview.
Going over
If a send would use more credits than you have left, we stop and show you exactly what it will cost before anything goes out — the estimate, what is left, the overflow, and the per-credit rate. You choose whether to continue.
Nothing is sent and nothing is billed if you close that dialog.
Overage credits are added up through the month and billed when your period closes, alongside your plan.
What is not charged
- Recipients who were skipped — opted out, no consent, or outside quiet hours.
- Messages that bounce or fail. If an email bounces after being charged, the credits come back.
Your monthly reset
Your credit pool refreshes on your own billing date, not the first of the month. Unused credits do not roll over.
FAQ
Where do I see what is left? Announcements → Overview shows your plan and your remaining credits.
Can I buy credits without changing plan? Overage covers it — you keep sending and pay per credit beyond the pool.
Does a failed call cost anything? No. Voice is only charged for connected time.
Does the audience preview tell me the cost? It tells you how many messages will go out. Multiply by the credit cost above, or start the send — you will be warned before you exceed your allowance.
