Signing up takes four steps and a confirmation screen. At the end you have an account, a working phone number, and a registered emergency address — and you are already signed in to the portal.
Before you start
Have these ready:
- A working email address at your own domain. Throwaway and disposable addresses are rejected, and you will need to enter a code we email you.
- A mobile number you can receive a text on. We send a verification code to it.
- Your business street address. This becomes your registered emergency (911) address, so it must be the address where the phones are actually used — not a PO box and not a head office in another city.
- A payment method, unless you are starting a free trial.
Step 1 — Choose your service and plan
Pick the service you want on the signup page, then choose a plan. If you have a promo code, enter it here — it is checked immediately, so you will know before checkout whether it applies.
Not sure which service you need? See Which ReliaRing service is right for me?.
Step 2 — Choose your number
Search for a number in the area code you want and select one. Selecting a number reserves it, so nobody else can take it while you finish signing up.
Reservations do not last forever. If you take a long break, come back and find the number gone, simply search again — you can also extend a reservation before it lapses.
If you would rather keep the number you already have, see Keeping your existing phone number when you sign up.
Step 3 — Enter your business address
This is the address emergency services will be given if someone calls 911 from your service, so enter it exactly.
We check the address against the emergency-services database before your number is ordered. If it cannot be validated you will be asked to correct it, and no number is purchased until it passes. That is deliberate: it means you can never end up paying for a number that has no working 911.
Step 4 — Check out
Review the order and confirm. On a free trial nothing is charged; otherwise your payment method is saved for the first invoice.
Done
The confirmation screen shows your new number while it is being set up. You are signed in automatically — no separate "check your email to activate" step.
The first thing you will see in the portal is the account setup dialog. See Activating your account on first sign-in.
Where signup is available
ReliaRing sells in Canada. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, and address forms use Canadian provinces and postal codes.
What signup does not do
- It does not configure your call handling. Business hours, voicemail greetings and call routing are set up afterwards — see Essential settings checklist.
- It does not invite your team. Add colleagues afterwards from Team Members — see Inviting team members.
- It does not complete a number port. Starting a port at signup opens the request; the port itself takes several business days.
