How Many People Your Plan Covers

Updated August 30, 20261 views0 found helpful

What counts as a seat, why an invitation can be refused, and how extra users are priced on ReliaRing.

ReliaRing is priced as one bundle for your whole business, not per person. Each plan covers a number of people and a shared pool of minutes that everybody draws from.

What counts as a seat

A seat is one team member on your account. Both of these hold a seat:

  • Someone who has accepted their invitation and can sign in.
  • Someone who has been invited but has not accepted yet.

Pending invitations count on purpose. Otherwise an administrator could invite twenty people onto a ten-person plan simply by sending every invitation before anybody accepted.

Extensions are not seats. You can create extensions from 1000 to 9999 regardless of your plan; what your plan limits is how many people can be on the account.

What each plan covers

Starter310$12.00/mo
Professional1025$10.90/mo
Business2550$9.56/mo

Prices are in Canadian dollars per month. Extra people are added when you buy or change a plan.

"Your plan allows 10 user accounts and 10 are in use"

You have hit the maximum for your plan. You have three options:

  1. Free up a seat. Cancel an invitation that was never accepted, or deactivate someone who has left, under Account → Users & Roles.
  2. Move up a plan. The next tier up raises the ceiling and lowers the per-person rate.
  3. Check for duplicates. People occasionally get invited twice under two email addresses.

Seeing where you stand

The count is enforced when you invite somebody, so the clearest check is to open Account → Users & Roles and count the active and pending entries.

If your account does not have a plan tier set on its ReliaRing subscription, no ceiling is enforced at all and invitations are never refused for seat reasons. If you are unsure which applies to you, ask support to confirm your plan tier.

Note: Removing a person frees their seat, but their extension stays. Reassign the extension to whoever replaces them rather than deleting it — deleting an extension deletes its voicemail permanently.
